I play music for a job. I have been doing this for just over a year now. Communication is key for many reasons in this business. While performing it is very important to communicate with each other for changes and endings; especially when we a re improvising, which occurs all the time. But one huge miscommunication we have had was when we doubled booked one night because me and the other guitarist in our band didn't let each other know that we had put each gig in the books. We accidentally screwed over one bar out of music and had to argue about which bar we were going to play for. This makes a band look very unprofessional and can ultimately lose your gigs there in the future. This is a prime example of why communication is vital in the business aspect of music.

I enjoyed our client visit, I think that our class came up with some good questions and ideas about how we could educate Clemson on being healthier. I liked the ideas of having healthy recipes that people could use to eat healthy but still get great taste. Our group is getting along very well and have come up with a few ideas, although we haven't come up with the best one yet. I think everyone in the class will contribute positively toward this project.

I believe that these are definitely big problems that often occur in an interview. I think that these are good pieces of information to know and to read over before going to an interview or receiving a phone call interview. I have never personally been to an interview, I have spoken to friends about interviews and learned little from them but I have never personally been interviewed.

Ten years from now I will be 32 years old, hopefully by then I am making enough money to provide for a wife and kids. I love music, so hopefully I will be working in the music industry in some way shape or form. I plan to move to San Francisco when I graduate for a few years just to try and play music or, if I have to, get a real job. Either way I am sure in ten years I will be happy no matter where I am or what profession I choose. I am from Charleston, so it would be nice to be back there in ten years, but there are a lot of other great places to be living. So in ten years hopefully I will be living somewhere cool with a wife and kids playing music.

My name is Nick Collins. I am from Charleston and I am a 5th year senior. I will be graduating and may and am not very excited about it. I am a musician and play music all during the week whether its in the Clemson jazz program or downtown Clemson, Charleston, and Greenville. I am a business management major with a music minor and hope to use my minor instead of my major after graduation.
